God's precious jewel,
Daddy's little girl,
such a pure thing,
was evil meant for her world?
We chit chat at the drop of a hat.
talk for hours,
and days, at that.
We talk about boys, our dreams, and love
and then some gossip
brings the parrot out of the dove.
We repeat what we hear,
"Did you hear about.."
is whispered to a listening ear.
O, and our plans!!
Is life a battlefield?
We must scheme to get a man?!
And who do we look cute for?
surely not ourselves, not really a boy,
we try to look cuter than each other!
Each other, we annoy!
Life is a competition,
in this world of girl.
who's the best? who's the prettiest?
who's hair, a perfect curl?
"Beauty is fleeting,
and charm deceptive."
If God is always right,
why don't we see our Creator's perspective?
